No, your child isn’t lazy. No, you haven’t failed.

And no, this doesn’t have to be your new normal. The truth?

Most interventions skip the most important step: fixing the cause of the struggle.

But Our Approach is Different

At Wired2Learn, we help students build the mental muscles that make learning possible, grow academic skills, and let you rediscover what it feels like to get your care-free, confident kid back.

Check out what’s different about our comprehensive four-part approach — and why it works.

Pillar #1: The Arrowsmith Program®

Here’s something most schools, and even many therapists, miss.

When a child can’t focus, can’t remember directions, and can’t problem solve, often it isn’t a behavior issue or even a lack of intelligence. It’s a brain issue.

That’s why tutoring alone doesn’t work for our kids. It teaches content without growing capacity.

At Wired2Learn, we use the Arrowsmith Program®, a science-backed method used for over 40 years to help thousands of children with learning disabilities “retrain” the brain itself.

Think of it like physical therapy — but for the parts of the brain that control things like: working memory, attention, logical reasoning, and so much more.

Every student has their own personalized learning plan, based on an in-depth assessment and observation we complete before enrollment, that targets the specific areas of the brain that need strengthening.

And here’s the part that matters most: When these brain functions improve, everything else does too.

Reading gets easier. Math makes more sense. Focus improves. Confidence grows.

“Her growth in the Arrowsmith Program shows in everything she does now — from writing a paper to putting together a whole presentation.”

Pillar #2: One-on-One Educational Therapy

At some point, you may have wondered if your child just isn’t going to get there.

You may have tried tutors. You sit alongside your kiddo at the kitchen table for a dozen hours every night. And it seems that there are only so many ways to learn to add 7 + 8 or to read the word “what” — but they still don’t get it.

But here’s what no one tells you: your child can learn to read, write, and understand math. They just need the right tools.

At Wired2Learn, our one-on-one educational therapy works alongside the Arrowsmith Program® to grow your child’s academic skills as they strengthen their brain.

Because otherwise… It’s like trying to plant a garden in rocky soil.

Our Orton Gillingham certified therapists provide structured, personalized instruction two to three times per week in the academic skills your child needs most:

  • Reading (including structured literacy)
  • Writing (from handwriting to essays)
  • Math (conceptual understanding and basic fluency)

And you? You don’t have to try to cobble together the support your child needs or miss work to race them around to appointments anymore.  Everything your child needs is available right here at Wired2Learn.

“Through the Arrowsmith Program, which seems odd to the unknowing eye; project-based learning, which combines reading, writing, math, science, and history in a really fun and practical way; and the specialized remediation tailored to each specific student’s needs — the results are real and wonderful! After one school year, her fluency is normal, we can read her handwriting, and it doesn’t take five hours to complete a 15-minute task.”

Pillar #3: Project-Based Learning

You’ve probably seen it. Your child used to be joyful and curious — it might even hurt to look back on those old pictures of them grinning — before school made them feel like a failure.

Now they shut down. They say things like, “I’m so stupid.” Or worse, they stop trying at all.

But Wired2Learn takes a different approach to learning.  We reconnect your child to their interests, their creativity, and their strengths. In Project-Based Learning, your student will:

  • Explore topics they care about
  • Design real-world projects that are relevant to them
  • Present their ideas to peers and mentors (just like they’ll do in the workplace someday)
  • And practice their budding cognitive and academic skills — without even realizing it

That’s when a child who once refused to write, builds a whole website about rescuing shelter animals.

That’s when you see your child who said “I’m dumb” lead a project presentation with a confident smile on their face. That’s when they remember they’re not broken — they’re brilliant!

“Since sending our daughter to Wired2Learn, we’ve seen remarkable progress, particularly in her verbal communication. One of the most exciting results has been her increased confidence in verbalizing her thoughts and feelings. The personalized approach at Wired2Learn has allowed her to thrive in a supportive environment, where she’s not only encouraged to communicate but also given the tools and strategies to improve her speech.”
– Trina Lariviere, Wired2Learn Parent

Pillar #4: Social-Emotional Coaching

When learning is a daily struggle, it chips away at a child’s confidence. When learning is hard, year after year, it leaves emotional scars.

But healing is possible, especially when it’s woven into every moment of your child’s day. That’s why at Wired2Learn, emotional growth isn’t something we “add on.”

Throughout the day, our educational therapists coach students in the moment — during class, in transitions, and even over lunch — so every challenge becomes a chance to build emotional strength.

We use real-time coaching moments to help your student:

  • Manage frustration and anxiety
  • Build resilience and perseverance
  • Navigate friendships and conflict
  • Discover what they’re good at and feel proud of it

These aren’t “nice-to-haves.” They’re the heart of your child’s social, emotional, and academic growth.

“We searched for a school with teachers that WANTED him there. A place that could help him, and not hold him back. A place to push him and see how smart he is. A place that would not make him feel bad that he was dyslexic. At Wired 2Learn, they do just that. They love all the kids. They see potential. They encourage. They build up. They push. They tell the kids `’YES, YOU CAN!’“
– Jamie Barnhart, Wired2Learn Parent
